Poker Head icon candidate review

A historical review that proposed a Game-icons.net silhouette for each of the 41 product designs, listing a recommendation, an alternative and the rationale. The author later approved the recommendations; the adopted art is described in the art specification.

The review recommended 36 icons and deliberately left five blank because no available silhouette told the effect truthfully: a victory transfer, partial loss cover, a temporary bust-ceiling increase, moving every ace to the top and a fourfold stake. Those five later became original drawings. The entries use the working names from the effect drafts, many of which changed before release.

Its selection notes still explain the art: keep the established eye, radar and crystal-ball silhouettes for the matching information items; reserve the half-closed eye for the passive sleeve mark and the magnifier for the active peek; share the card-exchange icon between the two card-swapping products rather than pick an inaccurate one; never tell products apart by suit alone. All candidates are CC BY 3.0 and their attribution must be kept when exported.
